RVVSP is a shielded twisted flexible cable with a polyvinyl chloride sheath. It adds a shielding layer and a sheath layer to the ordinary RVS twisted-pair cable, which is resistant to external information interference and also improves the stability and reliability of the cable during using.
I. The meanings represented by the letters RVVSP
From left to right in sequence: R - flexible wire, V - insulation, V - sheath, S - twisted pair, P - shielding. The full name of RVVSP is polyvinyl chloride insulated polyvinyl chloride sheathed twisted shielded flexible wire
Ii. Product Parameters
Execution standard: GB5023.5-1997
Insulating sheath: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Wire core: Short-pitch twisted wire cores twisted in pairs
Shielding layer: Tin-plated copper wire braided shielding
Filling: PP tape or non-woven fabric wrapped and cushioned
Operating temperature: Mobile installation -5℃ to 70℃, fixed installation -10℃ to 70℃
Bending radius: For mobile installation, it is 15 times the outer diameter of the cable; for fixed installation, it is 6 times the outer diameter of the cable
Iii. Product Features
It has excellent anti-electromagnetic interference shielding characteristics. By using the method of twisting short-pitch twisted cores in pairs, along with shielding and protective layers, the overall mechanical performance of the cable and signal transmission become more stable and safe. At the same time, it has a certain degree of flexibility and cold resistance, capable of withstanding certain mechanical external forces. As a result, the cable is not afraid of bending and is more convenient for installation and laying.
Iv. Uses of the cable
The twisted-pair shielded structure enables the cable to have better electromagnetic compatibility, making it suitable for industrial environments with voltage levels of 300/300V and below, such as electrical installation, power supply, control and signal connection lines, etc.
V. The Differences between RVVSP and RVSP
Both RVVSP and RVSP belong to shielded twisted flexible wires and are suitable for places with high requirements for transmitted signals. The main difference between the two lies in the sheath. Compared with RVSP, it lacks the letter "V". RVSP, the full name of which is polyvinyl chloride insulated shielded twisted flexible wire, lacks the sheath protective layer. Its wear resistance and safety performance are not as good as RVVSP wire, and at the same time, its price is relatively low.
